Server-side tracking sends your conversion events from your own server (via a first-party subdomain) instead of the user's browser. Browser-based tracking is blocked by ad-blockers, trimmed by iOS Safari ITP, and loses click IDs on reload — all of which damage your Meta / GA4 attribution.

DNS not resolving

Symptom: track.yoursite.com still shows DNS error 30 minutes after adding CNAME.

Quick fix
  1. 1Confirm the record type is CNAME (not A).
  2. 2Check propagation: `dig track.yoursite.com` should return edge.servero.io.
  3. 3Some registrars (GoDaddy) cache for 48h. Clear with their TTL override.
  4. 4In Servero dashboard → Domains → click Re-verify.
SSL not provisioning

Symptom: Domain is verified but SSL status stuck on 'pending' after 10 min.

Quick fix
  1. 1Let's Encrypt has a 5-failures/hour rate limit per domain.
  2. 2Check CAA records don't block letsencrypt.org.
  3. 3Confirm the www. / apex record also points at edge.servero.io if used.
  4. 4Our SSL agent retries hourly. Manual retry: Domains → Renew SSL.
Events not showing

Symptom: Snippet installed, no events in the Live Stream dashboard after an hour.

Quick fix
  1. 1Open DevTools Network → filter /collect — confirm 200 response.
  2. 2Check Consent Mode state. If strict and no consent, events hold.
  3. 3Bot Blocking may filter your test UA. Whitelist yourself under Power-ups.
  4. 4Confirm container status is 'running', not 'suspended' (billing issue).
Duplicate events Meta vs Shopify

Symptom: Your Shopify orders show different revenue from Meta Ads Manager.

Quick fix
  1. 1Enable Deduplication power-up (on by default for new containers).
  2. 2Browser Pixel + Server CAPI must share the same event_id.
  3. 3Meta dedup window is 7 days. Older dupes remain.
  4. 4Check gateway logs: Conversion ledger → filter by event_id.
